Lucas is about 2 years old.
He is part Siamese, likes to answer you when you talk to
him, and tells you when he is hungry, but apart from
that, he is very quiet. He was rescued on a night in
January, after being found badly beaten, and thrown onto
someone's terrace. He sustained fractures of the pelvis
and hips, and damage to one of his back legs.
Understandably, he was terrified of people, and in
immense pain. Following months of love and care in a
foster home, his transformation is amazing. With
medical care he is recovering from his wounds, and is
able to walk.
He loves to spend hours lying in his bed, and is
satisfied with little walks around the house, and is
very happy just using a litter tray. As he will
probably never recover the full use of a cat's
flexibility, he will be much happier in an apartment or
house where there is no pressure for him to go outside.
He does not run, and cannot jump any great height, but
can manage the sofa!
Lucas would be a wonderful indoor companion cat for
someone living quietly alone. A home with other cats,
dogs or young children would probably be too much for
him. What he needs is a calm and loving environment.
